| The Centre Hastings Skatepark Committee was 1 of the 20 groups who were awarded the June Callwood Outstanding Achievement Awards for Volunteerism, on April 24th at St. Lawrence Hall, in Toronto. The award recognizes individuals and groups that have made an exceptional contribution to volunteerism in Ontario.
There to accept the award on behalf of the Skatepark Committee was Carman Donato- Skatepark Committee Chair, Judy Smith, Jim Smith and Sarah Bowles. Honourable Leona Dombrowsky, Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs attended the presentation and presented the Committee with a plaque recognizing their achievements.
