STUDENTS SAVE THE PARK $3500 IN LABOUR COSTS

Students from Centre Hastings next semester "The Bridges" program came to
the park Wednesday and laid 36 000 sq. ft. of sod in 4.5 hours. The park donated $1000 to their program. The students saved the park $3500 in labour costs. The group picture shows the students with the $1000 cash. The owner of Willowlee Sod Farms wrote the following email to me:

Carman

I wanted to send a note to you informing you of how impressed we were with the students that installed the sod at your Splash Pad project today.

The boys worked extremely hard and continued at a very efficient pace
throughout a long days work.  They should be very proud of the work they
performed on this community project.

Pass our comments along to the school and parents of these hard working and
responsible young men.  It was our pleasure to assist them to complete this
project and their workship and attention to detail was something they should
be proud of.
