The Library Board held a special evening on Tuesday, November 9th at the Library and Cultural Centre to thank "The Friends of the Library" for all the work that this group does to support the Library in our municipality. See the pictures. |
Recent Events
It was a good turn out for the Corn Boil at the O'Hara Mill Pioneer Village on August the 26th. With plenty of corn, provided by Gunnings from Tweed and Vander Ploueg from Madoc, hamburgers, hotdogs and sausages, everyone was well fed. I especially liked the taste of the corn Ross Moorcroft boiled that had maple syrup in the water, donated by the Maple Fest Committee from the Medical Center, in a one of the two cauldrons over open flames. That was some of the sweetest, juiciest corn that I have ever tasted. - Jason Danielis |
