This year 385 Army Cadet Christmas Dinner was special as there were promotions announced. Chief Warrant Officer Adam Trotter as Regimental Sgt Major has aged out at 19yrs old. Taking his place is Master Warrant Officer Christopher Swart who was the Company Sgt Major. He is now the RSM with rank as CWO.

We had a hiring board on Nov 28th to fill position of CSM. 3 Warrant Officers interviewed by 3 independent supporters. WO Mikala VanBrederode was successful. her new Rank is MWO and her position is CSM. Also receiving his Master Cadet certificate and badge was CWO Christopher Swart.

Master Cadet certificate signifies that you have completed a Cadet Leader Instructor course that you did staff (and instructed/supervised), that you completed National Star Certification Examination, and have attained bronze (or higher) fitness. and you get to take your NSCE badge and your CLI badge off your uniform, and replace it with that nice little badge :)

The 385 Army Cadets would like to thank the parent committee for putting on the dinner. They would also like to acknowledge the on going support by Marmora Legion, Madoc Legion and Tweed Legion. It was especially nice to have in attendance veterans from the Arm Forces.

2012 will be the 60th Anniversary for the 385 Army Cadets. More details on the celebration will be announced in January.
