Province Announces $138,000 Funding for New Tri Area Medical Centre

Ontario is helping revitalize Madoc and improve access to rural health care by investing in the development of the Tri Area Medical Centre.

The province is investing $138,000 to help replace the existing medical centre with a more modern facility that will better meet the health care needs of the community. This new medical facility will also serve as the centre piece for the revitalization of the business core of Madoc and help entice new business to the area.

Minister of Food and Rural Affairs Leona Dombrowsky: "This centre will contribute to the revitalization of downtown Madoc and provide the community with access to high quality health care closer to home. That is a goal our government is very please to support"

Medical Board Chairman Dave Schultz "Thanks to the support of the Ontario Government, the construction of the new Tri Area Medical Centre will become a reality."
