Municipality of Centre Hastings Announces the Retirement of Tom Piszczek

The Municipality of Centre Hastings is proud to recognize and celebrate the retirement of Mr. Tom Piszczek, who has dedicated more than 43 years of service to the community through his work in the Public Works Department.

Over the course of his career, Tom has contributed to nearly every aspect of public works—including roads, water, wastewater, parks, and more. His dedication and hands-on approach have left a lasting mark on the municipality, helping to keep our community safe, connected, and thriving.

“Tom has always been the guy you could count on,” said Mayor Deline . “He knows this community inside and out, and his experience has been invaluable. Whether it was looking after the roads, the water system, or even our parks, Tom’s been there making sure things got done. We’re really going to miss him around here.”

Known as a wealth of knowledge, Tom’s impact goes well beyond the work itself—he has built strong relationships with co-workers and community members alike. His retirement marks the end of an era, and his presence will be deeply missed.

The Municipality of Centre Hastings extends its heartfelt thanks to Tom for his outstanding service and wishes him all the very best in this exciting new chapter of his life.
