Tree-mendous Success This Past Weekend: Centre Hastings Community Tree Event

The Municipality of Centre Hastings is pleased to share the success of another Community Tree Event, held on Saturday, May 2, 2026.

Centre Hastings Council and staff distributed a variety of trees to community members who participated in this free, green initiative. In total, 900 trees were handed out, featuring 11 different varieties of native and hardy species.

This event supports local biodiversity, promotes environmental stewardship, and encourages residents to take an active role in building a greener, healthier community. Each tree planted contributes to improved air quality, increased shade, and stronger local ecosystems across Centre Hastings.

More than just a distribution event, it reflects a shared commitment between Council, staff, and residents to invest in a more sustainable future—one tree at a time. 🌱

A sincere thank you to everyone who participated and helped make this initiative a great success!
